Portugal here we come!

Welcome! I am so excited to offer this very special retreat on the coast of Portugal in Casa Paco D’Ilhas!

For a lot of us, Yoga begins in a studio on a mat and understanding how we bring the teachings of Yoga off the mat and in to our daily lives can be a challenging concept to grasp. On this 5 night retreat we get to experience how our skills on the mat can be taken into the rest of time together! Retreats are an amazing way to bring people together and share, grow and connect with ourselves, our shared experience and the world around us.

So what exactly will we get up to? I hear you ask!

Each day will start with a morning 90 minute or 2 hr Vinyasa and Meditation practice (not too early)

followed by a delicious brunch of, continental breakfast (homemade cereals, fresh fruits, choice of freshly grinded coffee & teas, fresh juices, breads, homemade spreads, cheeses, special of the day) as well as, acai bowls, chia pudding, the list goes on.

Then there will be free time to laze around the pool, read in the sunshine or go for a wander down to the beach (just 15 minute walk away!)

During the day there will also be an activity!

Ceramics

We will be guided through a 2.5 hour workshop learning the basics of ceramics and creating our own little piece of treasure to take home…eventually. The process of wheel-thrown pottery is a slow process.

We start with throwing a piece (during the workshop), after the workshop the piece needs to dry until it is ‘leather hard’ which means it is hard enough to touch and hold, but still soft enough to finish it to its final shape. After the trimming, the piece needs to dry for at least another couple of days before it goes in the kiln (oven) the first time for a bisque firing. This firing takes 36 hours. Then we glaze the pieces and fire them a second time, glaze firing, for another 36h. Now the piece is ready! The piece will be sent to your home, for an extra fee of the shipping costs.

A Sunset Sail

Starting around Cais do Sodré, once the toughest district of Lisbon that has now transformed into the capital' s most trendy, buzzing nightlife and dining destination. Passing under the 25th of April bridge (which closely resembles the Golden Gate Bridge of San Francisco) and working your way towards the tower of Belem and the world famous Jerónimos Monastery. The combo of a magical sunset and this unique view of the city will make this a “golden hour” to never forget! We will have a stop at a beautiful little beach for a refreshing ocean dip. Drinks snacks and music galore!

A Yoga workshop

led by myself delving deeper into our practice and exploring new ways of moving and deepening your knowledge and connection to yourself.

A Free Day!

This day is an opportunity to create your own perfect day in Ericeira such as, cycling, surf lesson, massage (given at our retreat centre), a walk into the town. On booking I will give more details on things you can do in the area and ways to organise it! This day will still be bookended with a morning meditate and journal and closing with a Bedtime restorative.

We will then eat a delicious dinner together of vegan or vegetarian food. Any other dietary requirements can be catered for too.

Closing our day with an evening restorative practice to invite in a restful nights sleep.
